KOMPAS.com - Nominasi Academy Awards ke-96 atau Piala Oscar 2024 telah diumumkan.

Nominasi diumumkan dari Teater Samuel Goldwyn di Beverly Hills, California oleh Zazie Beetz (pemeran film Atlanta & Joker) dan Jack Quaid (pemeran film The Boys & Oppenheimer).

Film Oppenheimer karya Christopher Nolan memimpin dengan 13 nominasi besar, termasuk Best Picture, Best Director, dan Best Actor.

Poor Things karya Yorgos Lanthimos berada di posisi kedua dengan 11 nominasi, mengungguli Killers of the Flower Moon karya Martin Scorsese dengan 10 nominasi.

Barbie mendapat delapan nominasi, sedangkan Greta Gerwig hilang dari nominasi Best Director atau Sutradara Terbaik.

Ada pun, upacara penghargaan Oscar tahun ini berlangsung pada 10 Maret 2024 dari Dolby Theatre di Hollywood, California, Amerika.

Pembawa acara talk show Jimmy Kimmel kembali dipercaya untuk memandu ajang penghargaan tersebut untuk keempat kalinya.
